Independent verification

Post-Remediation Clearance Testing in Anaheim, CA

After a remediation contractor finishes, clearance testing independently checks whether the work area appears clean, dry, and back to normal conditions. It gives property owners confidence before containment is removed and rebuilding begins.

Because we do not perform remediation, we have no stake in whether the job passes — our role is to document conditions accurately.

What clearance testing evaluates

  • Visual review of the work area for remaining growth or debris
  • Moisture readings to confirm materials are dry
  • Air samples inside the work area and a comparison location
  • An outdoor baseline air sample
  • Surface samples where visual findings are uncertain

The process

How post-remediation clearance works

  1. 01

    Review the scope

We review what areas were remediated so the correct areas are evaluated.

  2. 02

    Visual & moisture check

The work area is inspected for debris, visible growth, and remaining moisture.

  3. 03

    Clearance sampling

Air samples are collected inside containment with comparison and outdoor baselines.

  4. 04

    Clearance report

Results are documented with a clear statement of what was observed.

Report & lab details

What the clearance report shows

Visual findings, moisture readings, and laboratory results for each sampled area, compared against baseline locations.

If results indicate the area is not yet at normal conditions, the report explains what was found so the contractor can address it before retesting.

FAQ

Post-Remediation Clearance questions

Should the containment still be up during testing?

Ideally yes. Testing before containment is removed allows any remaining issues to be addressed without affecting the rest of the property.

Can the remediation company do its own clearance?

Many owners prefer independent clearance so the party that did the work is not the one grading it. That is the role we fill.

What happens if clearance does not pass?

The report explains why. The contractor typically addresses the area, and a retest can be scheduled.
